Grass mods, or rather, mods that overhaul grass and shrubbery, are usually just texture replacers and there's no "best" one.
I personally like AGM but BNS seems fine too (never tried it so far). Boston Natural Surroundings, Another Green Mod and certain versions of ReGrowth are the only greenery (trees) mods that don't screw over performance so far.
